Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
The short version: your CV, profile and proposals are encrypted, the only thing that reads them is the AI model that writes for you, and nobody at RemoteSWE can view them. The rest of this page explains exactly what that means. Your use of RemoteSWE is also governed by our Terms of Use.
1. What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and profile picture, from Google when you sign in.
- Your content: the CVs you upload, your profile, the job posts and drafts you paste, your writing samples, your chats, and everything we generate for you.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Usage: which features you use and when, so we can improve the product.
2. How your content is protected
Your content is encrypted with AES-256 before it is saved, both in our database and in file storage, so the stored data is unreadable on its own. It is also encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
Nobody at RemoteSWE can view your content: we have no internal tool that shows it. Our team sees only account-level information needed to run the service and support you, such as your email, your plan, and how many proposals or profiles you have generated. Other users never see your content, unless you share a result link yourself.
3. AI processing
We use Claude, an AI model by Anthropic, to write and score your proposals and profiles. When you generate something, the content it needs is sent to Anthropic over an encrypted connection. That model is the only thing that reads your content. Anthropic does not use it to train its models.
4. Service providers
We never sell your data or use it for advertising. We rely on these providers to run RemoteSWE:
- Vercel: hosting.
- Neon: database (stores your content encrypted).
- Cloudflare: file storage for CVs (stored encrypted).
- Anthropic: the AI model, as described above.
- Stripe: payments.
- Google: sign-in.
- Resend: account emails.
- PostHog: product analytics. Session recordings hide all text and everything you type, so they never show your content.
- Telegram: internal alerts about signups and payments. They include your email, never your content.
5. Messages you send us
Feedback and contact messages are the one exception to section 2: you are writing to us, so our team reads them in order to reply.
6. Deleting your data
You can delete an uploaded CV from your profile page at any time. To delete your whole account, ask through the contact form. Within 14 days we erase your account, everything you wrote or generated, and your uploaded CVs.
7. Changes
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
8. Contact
Questions about this policy go through the contact form. The Chrome extension has its own privacy policy.
